Leigh Walters, DVM

Hello there, my name is Dr. Leigh Ann Walters. I recently moved to Texas, and I am very excited to be a member of the Vetsavers team!
I worked as a medical director and associate veterinarian in Nevada for several years before finding my new home here in Lewisville. I attended West Virginia University where I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in 2001 and received my DVM degree from Tuskegee University in 2006.

My professional interests include nutrition, internal medicine, oncology, pediatrics, and geriatrics. I subscribe to the adage “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” I value restorative and preventative medicine as a means to enhance longevity and improve quality of life.

Outside of work, I am happily married and enjoy spending time with my family and pets. My hobbies include writing, nature, and travel.
